The GreenAsia Group Associates flew into Bali from Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Australia, UK and Canada for this Phase 1 Charrette held near Ubud. The team spent the first two days scoping out a 1,014 hectare site on the island for potential sustainable development, considering areas most suitable for facilities catering to Agricultural use, Social Enterprise, Resort, Villa Estate, Health and Education.

The two-day Scoping Charrette that followed explored aspects of sustainable development such as governance and eco-footprinting as well as identified feasibility studies for biodiversity, landuse, water management and renewable energy.

Once these studies are complete, the design brief will be given to the architectural team, for a Phase 2 Charrette on Conceptual Design, planned in April 2014.
