Supported by Building and Construction Authority, Singapore, the International Green Building Conference (IGBC) 2012 is the premier green building conference offering crucial insights on the green economy and the sustainable built environment. The conference aimed to propel Singapore’s building and construction industry towards further environmental sustainability with its strategic focus on the Build Green environment, featuring eco-friendly, energy efficient building materials, designs and architecture.
TGAG was invited to make two presentations on their approach to energy and resource reductions at the IGBC 2012, with both presentations well received by conference participants.
Professor David Strong, TGAG’s Associate on Building Performance, delivered the second presentation, “Performance Managing Energy out of Your Organization”. The highlight of his presentation, illustrated by a number of world renowned buildings, is the challenge that the industry still faces, that it lacks the expertise needed to create buildings that live up to their green designs.
