Bali Daily (The Jakarta Post) reports that the management of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport has gone green in some aspects of the operation of the Island’s newly renovated airport.
PT Angkasa Pura I (PAP I) has installed solar energy panels in an effort to reduce electricity usage.
Tommy Soetomo, the president director of PAP I, told the press that in addition to solar panels steps were also underway to reduce water resumption.
Describing the design of the “new” air gateway in Bali, Soetomo said: “The architectural design, selection of materials and energy uses refer to energy efficiency concepts adopted by many international airports across the world.”
